More details about our Mission Judgement House trip to Brazil have been finalized and we are excited to share this information with you and hope that you will consider joining the team.
What we'll do:
This year the National Mission Board of Brazil is hosting an evangelistic outreach called "Operation Jesus Transforms", or "Trans" for short, as it is known.
It is a missionary effort that involves hundreds of volunteers in the
proclamation of the gospel in cities and
neighborhoods not yet reached, and
where the knowledge of the true God is
absent.
The NMBB and Judgement House International are joining forces to evangelize a small town called Cascavel ("Rattle Snake", in English), located 37 miles southeast of Fortaleza city and 5 miles from the deep blue Atlantic Ocean.
Date and Itinerary
The dates are set for July 10 - 18, 2010. We will depart Miami International Airport and fly to Manaus, the main city at the heart of the Amazon Rain Forest. After going through customs, we will take a three hour flight to Fortaleza on the northeast cost of Brazil. On the 11th, the team will travel by bus one hour to reach the project destination in the town of Cascavel.

Weekly Schedule
The teams that we have sent to help with Judgement House, normally arrive on Saturday or Sunday, and participate in worship services with the locals.
On Monday, teams begin to work on construction, room set-up, and advertising of the presentation through Wednesday. The script that will be presented is a "local" version of "Collision" or "Colisão".

The dress rehearsal happens on Thursday evening and the actual presentation begins on Friday and runs until Sunday.
During the presentations, the Team helps in different capacities: sound, lighting, pray walker, security, anything that does not require knowledge of the language.
Food and Accommodation
During the project in Cascavel the Team will have their meals with the other volunteers and Judgement House leaders. Meals will be cooked/prepared at the project site.
One of the highlights of the trip will be the location of your accommodations. The team will be staying at a small Inn located on the Caponga Beach, just 5 miles from the actual site. Accommodations require two people per room.

Sight Seeing
There will be time for the team to explore the local area and shop in the markets based on the best time and day(s) to be away from the project.

Cascavel is known for it's unique and beautiful arts and crafts including spectacular sand paintings so bring a few dollars for souvenirs!

About the team:
The team for this trip will be limited to 20 total team members. Team members 18 years old and younger are welcome to come on the trip as long as they are accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
